Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Mohawk Valley Water Authority is working to fix a water main break in the Village of Whitesboro.

The break happened on Clinton Street, and as a result, the surrounding streets are under a boil water advisory. Residents who live on Clinton, West and Pine Streets, Eberley and Wagner Avenues and Edgewood Drive are advised to boil their water.

The advisory is in affect for the next 48 hours, or until test show the water is free from contamination. Residents are reminded to boil water for at least two-minutes before using it for drinking or cooking.
