An assembly was held at Watson Williams Elementary School in Utica on Friday to install Student Council and AAA Safety Patrol members..
Cheryl Minor is the Principal at Watson-Williams. Minor says they're using the student council and safety patrol to develop leadership skills and for students to be active participants in the school community.
She says 16 students were selected for the student council and safety patrol.
