A Durhamville man accused of shooting and killing a horse in Kirkland in December has rejected a plea offer and will go to trial instead.

43-year old Robert Webster made a brief appearance in Oneida County Court today.

Webster is facing charges including aggravated animal cruelty and reckless endangerment.  He's also been charged with setting his father's house on fire, impersonating an FBI agent and disrupting a church service.

Webster has been ruled competent to assist in his own defense.

No trial date has been set.
