A veteran wide receiver who helped revolutionize the slot position is looking to make a comeback.

Wes Welker, now 34, has signed a one-year contract with the St. Louis Rams. With nearly 900 career receptions (890), and nearly 10,000 receiving yards (9,822), Welker joins a Rams offense that is dead last in the league in receiving yards and second to last in passing touchdowns.

Welker made with him in New England where he recorded 100 or more catches in five or six seasons with the Pats. He went to Denver and went through a pair of down years with Peyton Manning. complicated by health issues over numerous concussions.
