West Corners Fire Blamed on Dryer Lint

A basement fire in West Corners is being blamed on lint buildup in a clothes dryer vent.

Firefighters were called to the home on Antoinette Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. June 16 and found heavy smoke and flames in the basement.

The two alarm fire left the home with some damage but no one was injured.

West Corners, West Endicott, Endwell, Endicott, and Union Center all responded to the scene.
