The West Utica Public market will be opening for the season tomorrow.

The market will take place on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 behind the Boilermaker offices on Court Street.  It will feature a variety of products from local farmers.

The market will be open every Tuesday through mid-October.

“West Utica has been classified as a food desert” said Rebecca Spataro-Kearns, WUPM manager. “This is a great opportunity to offer access to fresh, affordable, produce to a neighborhood in need.”

EBT and SNAP cards will be honored at the market.

Entertainment will also be offered, along with free education sessions dealing with nutrition, wellness and financial fitness.
