A Tuesday night accident is under investigation in Oneida County.According to a written release from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, a red 1999 Mercury Marquis driven by Robert Pangburn was headed east on Lowell Road in Westmoreland, New York when the driver is believed to have lost control and ended up in a ditch.

Sheriff's deputies say Pangburn, who suffered a minor concussion in the accident, may have been travelling too fast at the time.  He was treated at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica.

The Westmoreland Fire Department and Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
