EUFAULA, Okla. (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration says a medical helicopter has crashed in eastern Oklahoma with three employees on board.

FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the helicopter crashed around 11:25 p.m. Thursday near Eufaula, west of Lake Eufaula.

The conditions of the three onboard and the circumstances of the crash were unknown early Friday.

Lunsford says the Eurocopter AS350 is owned by EagleMed LLC and was flying from Tulsa to McAlester when it crashed. He says there doesn't appear to have been a patient on board.

Lunsford says FAA investigators were on their way to the scene and the National Transportation Safety Board will be leading the investigation.
