Whitesboro Man Charged With Criminal Sexual Act

A Whitesboro man has been arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with a girl under the age of 11 in the Village of Whitesboro.

The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center says 52-year old Gregory Gauthier is charged with criminal sexual act, a felony.

A search warrant was executed at Gauthier's home and an electronic device was secured, along with other items.

The investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.

Gauthier was arraigned in the Village of New York Mills Court and was sent to the County Jail on $35, 000 bail.

The victim has been offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
