Albany, NY (WIBX) - A Whitesboro man is being praised by the state's Public Service Commission and NYSERDA for his service to low-income energy consumers.

Andrew Stone has been in the low-income energy field for more than 25 years and is currently with the New York State Weatherization Directors Association.

Stone was honored for his work with agencies and power utilities to create programs for low-income energy users statewide.

Two others were also recognized during the ceremony for their work with senior citizens and first time HEAP applicants.

The awards were part of this year's Low-Income Forum on Energy (LIFE) Statewide Conference held in Albany.
