New Hartford, NY (WIBX) -  A Whitesboro teen was arrested for allegedly trying to use a stolen credit card at the New Hartford Shopping Plaza.

According to New Hartford Police, 19-year old Joseph Hess was taken into custody while attempting to make the purchase. Police say he had four stolen credit cards and the driver's license of the victim. Authorities say the items where stolen from a vehicle in Whitestown.

Hess was arrested on 5 felonies and 3 misdemeanors, he was arraigned and sent to the Oneida County Lock-up.

Felonies:

  • 4 counts of Criminal Possession of stolen property 4th degree
  • 1 count of Forgery 2nd degree

Misdemeanors:

  • 1 count of Criminal Possession of stolen property 5th degree
  • 1 count of Petit Larceny
  • 1 count of Attempted Petit Larceny
