The 2013 Keeler Toy Drive to benefit Operation Sunshine is underway.
WIBX's First News with Keeler in the Morning, in conjunction with The Observer Dispatch, Time Warner Cable, and New York Sash are all raising toys for kids right here in the Mohawk Valley. All the toys and money raised stay local.
A number of local businesses are serving as drop-off points to donate new un-wrapped toys valued at a minimum of $5. A special thanks to Utica Mack, Raspberries and Joe Tahan's Furniture for chipping in to assist.
Here’s the schedule of Events for this Year’s Drive:
11/18/13 Al from Time Warner Cable begins delivering collection boxes to local businesses
11/23 Christmas on Main Street
12/9 Keeler on-air Auction to benefit the Toy Drive
Andrew’s High School Challenge – local High Schools compete to win by collecting the most toys Prize: Free High School Dance and Pizza Party
12/7 Teddy Bear Toss with New York Sash
12/13-14 Live Broadcast Toy Drive Finale’ at Raspberries on Commercial Drive in New Hartford. Utica Mack will be on-hand with a truck for transport.
