WIBX Wins Two Awards For Excellence In Broadcasting

WIBX took home two awards at Monday night's 47th "Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting" sponsored by the New York State Broadcasters Association.

WIBX won awards for "Outstanding Spot News" for coverage of the Valley Shooting Spree and "Outstanding Feature Story" for a story on Utica’s Benjamin Walker, Standing Up In Memory of 9/11 at Burrstone and Genesee Streets

The honors were handed out at the Sagamore Resort Hotel in Bolton Landing.

WIBX would also like to congratulate WTKV for its own Excellence Award for Spot News during the Valley Shooting Spree, and WUTR, who received a pair of awards for Outstanding Local Sporting Event and Outstanding Documentary Program.
