With a 50-Pound Chain Around Her Neck Animal Activist Plans 100+ Mile Walk
With a tow chain weighing more than fifty pounds draped around her neck, one animal activist plans to walk more than one hundred miles from Rome, New York to Albany.
Kim Strong, head of the Central New York-based group Lainey's Army, says she plans to raise awareness about animal welfare issues. She spoke with WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning to talk about the inspiration for her walk and to, of course, show off her chain.
Strong says the walk will start at All Creatures Boarding and Grooming in Rome and finish in Albany. If all goes as planned, Strong's walk will end on Humane Lobby Day on March 24, 2015.
