A New York woman allegedly shot a man during a fight about their property on Christmas Eve.

State Police were called to the home located at 3860 Swain Hill Road in Andover, New York at about 1:29pm on December 24, 2014 after receiving a call that someone had been shot inside the home.

When they arrived they found 44-year old Duane A. Hurlburt dead after troopers say he was shot by 52-year old Donna G. Hahn, who also lived at the home.

Hurlburt's body was brought to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Hahn was taken into custody and arraigned in the Town of Scio Court on second degree murder and first degree manslaughter charges.  She was then taken to the Allegany County Jail without bail.  District Attorney Keith Slep is investigating the case.

New York State Police were assisted by the Allegany County District Attorney's Office, the Allegany County Coroner Maynard Baker, Andover EMS, and Medic 700.
