Woman Arrested Following Fifth Police Pursuit
The fifth time was the charm for local law enforcement.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says they arrested a Town of Russia woman who allegedly led police on five pursuits in five days.
46-year old Sarah Wellington was apprehended on Sunday. Deputies were involved in a chase on Route 12 in Trenton that reached speeds of 100 miles an hour before taking Wellington into custody at her home.
She was charged with unlawful fleeing of a police officer, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest, along with numerous vehicle and traffic violations.
Wellington is also facing charges from both State Police and the Whitestown Police Department.
