A Manlius woman is facing several charges following a shoplifting incident at the Wal Mart in New Hartford.

New Hartford Police say during their investigation into the incident, 37-year old Cindy Maxim was found to be in possession of a pipe containing methamphetamines, a stolen New York State driver's license and several bank checks belonging to a woman from Manilus.

Police say one of the checks was forged with the victim's signature.

Maxim is facing charges including criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a forged instrument.

She was also found to have three active arrest warrants, inlcuding one from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office for failure to obey a child support order.
