Woman Charged For Breastfeeding While Using Cocaine

Watertown, NY (WIBX) - New York State Police officials are reporting the arrest of a Watertown woman following its joint investigation with the Jefferson County Child Protective Services. According to officials, it was discovered that 25-year-old Nicole L. Cummings was actively breastfeeding her infant child over a period of time in May and June of this year, while still using cocaine. Police charged Cummings with 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Cummings was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Rutland Court.
