Woman Charged With DWI Under Leandra’s Law

Oneida, NY (WIBX) - A Canastota woman was charged with felony DWI under Leandra's Law following an accident in the Town of Lincoln.State Police say 46-year old Jean Curtis hit a mailbox in front of a home on Tuttle Road and then fled the scene.

Police say Curtis was later involved in an accident on Timmerman Road where her vehicle left the road, downed a tree and then struck a barn.

Curtis was charged with DWI, Aggravated DWI, Aggravated DWI with a Child in the Vehicle and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Trooper say Curtis and her 10-year old daughter, who was a front seat passenger, were not injured in the crash.
