Woman Charged With Stealing Car In Ilion

A Ontario, Canada woman is facing charges for allegedly stealing a car in Ilion and abandoning it in Ohio.

Ilion Police say 24-year old Hope Bordynuik stole a vehicle from the parking lot of the Dollar General store after a family member's car she was driving ran low on gas.

Bordynuik is charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

She waived extradition in Ohio and was returned to New York.  She's being held in the Herkimer County jail on $4,000 bail.
