Firefighters from three companies have been battled a fire at the Pleasant Valley Trailer Park in Windsor that has claimed a life.Crews from Windsor, Oquaga and Windsor were called to the scene at 3:35 a.m. August 24 and found one mobile home at the trailer park on Old Route 17 fully involved in flames.  A second trailer has also reportedly caught fire.

53 year old Frances White was unable to escape.  She was found in a rear bedroom.

Another resident 71 Pearly Clapper was able to escape and was taken to Wilson Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The first mobile home was destroyed and the second reportedly was heavily damaged.

Officials say there were no smoke detectors in the mobile home.
