Woman Injured In ATV Accident

Westmoreland, NY (WIBX) - The Oneida County Sheriff's Office say a Westmoreland woman was injured when she crashed the ATV she was operating.

48-year old Susan Switzer lost control of the ATV as it crested a small hill on Deans Highway in Westmoreland.

She was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the road.

Switzer, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center with head injuries.

Her injuries are not life-threatening.

Switzer was charged with DWI, operating an ATV without a helmet, operating on a roadway and operating at an unsafe speed.
