Woman Robs Town of Chenango Bank

A woman is being sought in connection with the robbery of a Town of Chenango bank.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say a white woman with long, auburn hair entered the People’s Bank branch on Upper Front Street at 4:37p.m. May 1.

The woman reportedly handed the clerk a note demanding money that indicated she had a weapon.

No weapon was actually seen.

The woman is said to be in her early 20s, standing between five-feet, two-inches and five-feet, five-inches tall and had light freckles.  The woman may have been wearing a wig.
