The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office say a Middleville woman drove her vehicle into the side of a moving Amtrak train in Verona.

Deputies say 29-year-old Shelby Schumacher ignored a train crossing yesterday afternoon on Blackmans Corners Road and hit the passenger train.

Schumacher was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, but was not injured.

There were 4 crew members and 182 passengers on the train, but no one was hurt.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 765-2765.
