Workforce Investment Board Receives State Grant
Utica, NY (WIBX) – The local Workforce Investment Board has received over $169,000 in supplemental funding from the State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.The money will be used to continue operation of its highly successful Wage Subsidy Program, aimed at helping public assiatance recipients in Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Counties with barriers to employment find and retain jobs.
The Wage Subsidy Program helps cover some of the costs involved in training new employees.
WIB has operated the program since 2009.
