Working Families Party Begins Endorsement Process
Utica, NY (WIBX) – The Working Families Party is beginning its annual endorsement process with the release of its online candidates questionnaire.
Herkimer-Oneida Counties Screening Committee Chairman John Furman says the party wants to know where every candidate stands on the issues that matter to working families.
Candidates must complete the questionnaire, available at www.workingfamiliesparty.org, by May 20th.
Furman says candidates will be interviewed in late May by the local screening committee, which will make its recommendations to the state Executive Committee.
Last year, the WFP received over 250,000 votes on its line, enough to surpass the Independence Party and move up to Row D on the ballot.
