Jim Rondenelli, WIBX

Members of the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team toured the Sitrin Health Care Center today ahead of tonight’s doubleheader at Donovan Stadium in Utica.

They’ll be taking on local law enforcement team and a team of active duty soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum.

Saul Bosquez of Adrian, Michigan plays third base for the Warriors and served in the Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He says besides having fun on the field, it’s all about raising awareness.

Tickets for the doubleheader are $5 and admission for children 10 and under is free.

Proceeds will benefit the WWAST and the Military Rehabilitation Program at Sitrin.
