Writer-Director Garry Marshall Dies At Age 81
LOS ANGELES (AP) — He was a writer-director whose TV hits included "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley."
Garry Marshall has died at age 81.
His publicist says Marshall died Tuesday in a hospital in Burbank, California, of complications from pneumonia after having a stroke.
Henry Winkler, who starred as Fonzie on "Happy Days," saluted Marshall in a tweet as "larger than life, funnier than most, wise and the definition of friend."
