New York State Police say a motorist is being charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after leading troopers on a wild, wrong-way chase on three highways in Broome County.

Authorities say they found the woman driving east in westbound lane of interstate 88 at around 2:15 a.m. March 4, followed her to Route 81, still going the wrong way, south in the northbound lane before turning the wrong way onto Route 17.  She was stopped at the Endwell exit.

No one was hurt.

The driver told troopers she was not aware they were following her and trying to stop her.

The woman’s name has not been released but officials say she was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content measuring more than .18%.
