Wrong Way Driver Charged
Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is facing multiple traffic violations including Aggravated DWI, for allegedly driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street, and causing an accident. Police say, 34-year-old Ber Pour collided with another vehicle, and attempted to leave the scene of the accident. Pour, who was arrested and charged, had a blood alcohol level of .18 percent or higher. Officials say the accident happened in the area of Pleasant Street near Elm Street in Utica.
Pour is facing the following charges:
- DWI common law
- DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher
- Aggravated DWI (having a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher)
- Leaving the scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident
- Driving the wrong way on a one way street.
