West Winfield Woman Charged With Welfare Fraud

A West Winfield woman has been arrested following an investigation by the Herkimer County Sheriff's Office Welfare Fraud Unit.

39-Year old Amy Gillette is charged with welfare fraud, grand larceny and offering a false instrument for filing.

Authorities say Gillette allegedly received a total of $2,274.00 between October 2013 and March of this year by submitting false income information to the Herkimer County Department of Social Services.
