NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Yale University is turning out to be a good place to look for bone marrow donors.

About two dozen members of the Yale community have donated so far out of more than 4,500 who have joined the Be the Match registry. Three members of the football staff and one player are among the donors.

Chad Ramsey is the director of legislative relations for Be the Match. He says Yale's success getting matches is "beyond science."

Bone marrow donor and Yale football operations director Chris Gennaro was in Washington this week lobbying Congress for more money to fund the national registry.
