The Yankees pulled off a seven-player trade on Tuesday to bolster their bullpen and bring in an infield bat.

New York has acquired Todd Frazier along with relievers David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle.

After clubbing 75 combined home runs in 2015 and 2016, Frazier has 16 dingers so far in 2017 while batting just .207. He'll likely see time at third base, where Chase Headley has struggled.

Robertson was a Yankees from 2008-2014. He had a 2.70 ERA in 31 appearances with the White Sox this year. And, Tommy Kahnle, a native New Yorker, posted a 2.50 ERA in 37 appearances.

The Yanks part with reliever Tyler Clippard and his near-5 ERA. They also dealt highly rated prospect Blake Rutherford, along wtih Ian Clarkin and Tito Polo.

The Yankees had been looking for help after getting off to a red hot start in the early months of the season. After being as many 15-games over .500, the pinstripes are now 48-44 and have fallen into third in the AL East.
