Yankees Get Ichiro Suzuki From Mariners

Ichiro Suzuki is coming to the Bronx.

The Yankees made a deal on Monday afternoon to acquire the All-Star outfield from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for two prospects – right handed pitchers D.J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar.

Ironically. the pinstripes open a series in Seattle tonight.

In his 12-year MLB career, all in Seattle, Ichiro is a ten time All-Star with a lifetime .322 average and 2,533 hits.

This season he’s batting .261.
