For 19 seasons Mariano Rivera was a staple in Yankess history. He has been argued as one of the best closing pitchers in Major League Baseball. When Rivera announced his retirement thousands of fans saw the end of an era.

Now Rivera is taking time to meet fans across the country and he's making a stop in Syracuse. The guys who brought to the area such names as Mike Richter, Lawrence Taylor and Ric Flair are bringing the Yankees great to Cooperstown Connection at Destiny USA in the Salt City.

This Future Hall of Famer recorded 82 wins and only 60 losses during his incredible career. Of course his primary role was saver and he did that job well. As the all-time saves leader, Rivera had 652 saves during his tenure in the Bronx. With 1,173 strikeouts and a career ERA of 2.21, the numbers speak for themselves.

Vincent Carfagno of Cooperstown Connection says, "It is truly an honor to have the chance to work with an athlete of his caliber. We are very proud of the fact that Mariano Rivera entrusts in us that we will be handling this with the up most respect and professionalism that he deserves." Carfagno's partner in bringing Rivera to town believes this event says a lot about Central New York.

Paulie Diamond from Gentlemen's Corner Barbershop in New Hartford is one of the organizers bringing the 5x World Series winner to town. Diamond tells WIBX, "It’s an incredible feeling when the contract gets signed. Obviously we believe very strongly in CNY. Once a celebrity or an athlete signs that contract they’re saying they also believe in CNY. Mariano Rivera is by far the biggest name we have brought to the area so far. This is a big win for Central New York."

If you'd like to meet and get an autograph from this living legend you can travel to Destiny USA on November 13th 2017. You can get advanced sales tickets at Cooperstown-Connection.com.
