The Yankees missed an opportunity Thursday to grow their AL East lead over the idle Orioles, getting shutout by Brandon Morrow and the Blue Jays 6-0.

New York could muster just five hits as their division lead dropped back down to a game, with six to play.

Brett Lawrie and J.P. Arencibia each went yard off Ivan Nova (12-8) - who was pulled in the fourth after four runs on six hits. Struck out four and walked two.

Edwin Encarnacion added three hits and three RBI's for the Jays.

The Yankees have three more in Toronto before wrapping up the season with three against Boston in the Bronx.
