A year-long investigation by State Police into the trafficking of drugs in Herkimer County and the surrounding area has led to the arrest of a Little Falls man on drug charges.

27-year old Kyle Mead is facing numerous charges, including criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police say they seized eight ounces of cocaine, three ounces of crystal meth and over six pounds of marijuana with a street value of over $50,000.

Over $5,000 in cash, digital scales, packaging materials, cutting agents and two long guns were also recovered.

Mead is being held in the Herkimer County jail without bail.
