YWCA Warns Community About Unapproved Fund-raising

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Mohawk Valley’s YWCA is urging the community to be cautious of a local group’s efforts to raise money for the agency.

“Concerned Swimmers” advertised in the newspaper for the closed program Monday, July 24, 2011, and Monday, July 25, 2011.

The group has paid for advertisements throughout the Mohawk Valley on several occasions.

YWCA wants you to know the organization is a false representation of its agency, and any money collected by this program will not be accepted by YWCA
