Yorkville Teen Charged With Robbery Of Elderly Shopper

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A brazen robbery of an elderly woman earned a Yorkville teenager time in the county lockup. Utica police charged 18-year-old Corey Pagan, of Whitesboro Street, with 3rd Degree Robbery, a Class D Felony, after he allegedly knocked the elderly victim to the ground, ripping off her necklace and running out of the store she was shopping in.
It happened yesterday afternoon at Hannaford’s Supermarket on Mohawk Street. Police say Pagan first approached her for help locating a store item. He then followed and attacked her. He fled the scene but was subsequently located hiding in a nearby yard and arrested.
