YWCA Mohawk Valley Kicks Off Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Officials from the YWCA Mohawk Valley were joined by Herkimer County District Attorney Jeffery Carpenter and Frankfort Police Chief Ronald Petrie today at Myers Park in Herkimer.

To help raise awareness on the issues of child abuse and neglect, pinwheels were placed throughout the park.

Pinwheels are the symbol of hope for a brighter tomorrow for children.
