YWCA Mohawk Valley Looks To Expand Services

Preparations to expand the YWCA Mohawk Valley domestic violence housing programs are underway.

The YWCA is relocating its headquarters from its current location on Cornelia Street to 7 Rutger Park.

The move will allow the agency to begin assessment of the Cornelia Street location.

A $3.75 million state grant will be used to explore transforming the building into permanent supportive housing units for victims of domestic violence.

YWCA officials say during the transition to Rutger Street, there will be no disruption of services.
