The Blossvale man accused of leaving his elderly mother in a wooded-area off Route 5 in Oneida in July of 2014 has been sentenced.

Tomas Zavalidroga will spend one-year in the Madison County jail.  Zavalidroga was found guilty of reckless endangerment and making a false report to police in May

His mother was found alive several days after she was reported missing by Zavalidroga.

Zavalidroga told WIBX's First News with Keeler in the Morning he believes that his mother had been brainwashed and possibly drugged by “authorities.”  You can watch the interview from August 10, 2015 below.
