Zecca Wants To Reduce Size Of The Utica Common Council

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Councilman Jim Zecca will introduce legislation at tomorrow night's Common Council meeting to reduce the number of council members from nine to eight.The ordinance would also give the Common Council President authority to be a voting member of the body.

Zecca says If approved, the legislation can be placed on the ballot in 2012 in the form of a public referendum to let Utica residents make the final decision.
