James Zecca, Independence Party candidate for Utica Common Council announced today he will now appear on five lines in the November 3rd election in his bid for South Utica’s 3rd Ward Council Seat.  He will be on five party lines.

Zecca will be the only candidate in all of the Oneida County local elections to be on five party lines.

In a primary write in campaign Zecca was able to garner 75% of the vote to obtain the Working Families Line and 100% of the vote to obtain the Green Party line and is the only candidate in Utica’s legislative races with the endorsement of the Green Party line.

Zecca said “ I am extremely happy to represent a wide range of ideas in this election and I understand it is not about any one political party or ideology, it’s about the needs of all the people in South Utica I hope to represent come January 1st.

In his announcement, Zecca said, "Remember, a pot hole is not a Republican pothole or a Democratic pothole, it’s a pothole that needs to be repaired, whoever is in office. That’s what I am all about.”
