Today is the American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day.

Wear Red Day is part of the AHA's Go Red For Women Movement, which raises awareness about heart disease in women.

The 1st annual Rome Wear Red Day Luncheon was held today at the Beeches.

More than 160 people attended the event, which featured Passion Speaker Deb Kryczkowski, a heart attack survivor. Deb shared her story and encouraged other women to pay attention to their heart health.

This evening, 50 locations in the greater Utica area will light up in red, including the Townsquare Media building in Marcy.
