Governor Andrew Cuomo has directed that flags on State government buildings be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of Thursday night’s attack in Nice, France.

The Governor says New York State joins the nation and communities across the world in mourning those lost in this senseless tragedy.  He says this is not only an attack on France, but an attack on democracy.

Cuomo has also directed State law enforcement officials to increase security at high-profile locations across New York

Flags will be flown at half-staff through Tuesday.
