A fire station and two businesses were destroyed following a fire that started just before midnight in a Thousand Islands, New York neighborhood.

Two fire started just before midnight on Thursday, August 14, 2014 in the Commercial Block Building that houses part of the Wellesley Island Fire Department and several businesses, including neighborhood favorite "The Guzzle," an ice cream and candy shop.

WNYF-TV Fox 28 reported, "After burning for about a half hour, the building collapsed, showering neighboring homes in fiery debris."

No injuries have been reported.

Authorities have not yet officially released a cause of the fire and say the incident is still under investigation.  The Watertown Daily Times reports sources saying that they believe that the fire began as a result of an electrical problem.
