Herkimer Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

A Herkimer man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation into his contact with a teenage girl.

According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, Brian Gurtowski, 20, of Herkimer, was arrested and charged with one count each of Disseminating Indecent Material to a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child.

Gurtowski is alleged to have used Facebook and cell phone text messaging to engage in sexual communication with a 14 year-old girl.

He was arrested by State Police and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $7,500 bail.
