Indivisible Mohawk Valley Holding One More Rally To Thank Voters
One of the most critical groups of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney are planning one more rally in front of her office.
Indivisible Mohawk Valley spent two years holding weekly pickets in opposition to the Congresswoman and many of her policies. Now, they want to thank those who voted her out.
According to the group, the event will be held on Friday, November 30th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. They want the message of the rally to be simple. That message is simply, "Thank You, voters." That thanks is for voting for now Congressman-elect, Anthony Brindisi.
Indivisible Mohawk Valley member Jennifer Geiger of Rome says,
While millionaire Donald Trump, Jr. was stumping for Claudia Tenney in Rome just twelve hours before the polls opened, I was just a couple miles away, volunteering at Anthony Brindisi's Rome campaign office, and sending out volunteers, some of them registered Republicans, one after the other to knock on doors--right across the street from the Tenney event. Rome ended up going for Brindisi by less than 20 votes on election night. So individual voters won out over big money and big names. It just shows that every single vote matters.
Several volunteers worked on the Brindisi campaign. They knocked on over 300,000 doors and 130,000 of them were in the four days ahead of the election.
Congresswoman Claudia Tenney conceded on Monday, nearly three weeks after Election Day. In a statement she said, "I wish Congressman-elect Anthony Brindisi the best and my office will work with him to ensure a smooth transition and good constituent services for the people of the 22nd District. We should acknowledge when Congressman-elect Brindisi does the right thing for this district, but hold him accountable for every vote he takes to advance a liberal agenda that doesn’t help our community."
