CNY Native Makes Hometown Visit in the PLANTERS NUTmobile
There are dream jobs... and then there's driving a 26-foot-long peanut across America.
It sounds made up, but it's very real, and this week that giant peanut is making a hometown stop in Central New York thanks to an Oriskany, New York native who's living an adventure she'll never forget.
Meet Oriskany's Own "Coconut"
Oriskany Central School graduate Courtney Donohue—better known on the road as "Coconut"—is one of this year's PLANTERS Peanutters, the team behind the famous PLANTERS NUTmobile.
Even cooler? Courtney and her teammates, "Karishew" and "Christinut," make up the first all-female crew ever selected to drive the iconic peanut around the country.
Before hitting the road, Courtney was a substitute teacher and modified softball coach at Oriskany. Now she's spending an entire year traveling the country, representing one of America's most recognizable brands and collecting stories everywhere she goes.
"All roads always lead back here, and I love continuing to be a part of the communities that have raised me."

A Month on the Road...13 States Down
The crew has only been traveling for about a month, but they've already packed a lot into their journey.
They've visited the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus, Ohio, attended the LPGA Classic in Grand Rapids, cheered on runners in Chicago, stopped by a National BBQ Competition in Washington, D.C., and most recently were part of Macy's Fourth of July celebration in New York City.
Now the giant peanut is rolling into Central New York before heading off to the next stop on an 11-month adventure.

How Courtney Landed The Job
How does someone land a job driving a giant peanut across America?
PLANTERS holds a nationwide search each year for new Peanutters. Applicants submit a creative video explaining why they should be chosen, and people from all kinds of backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
For Courtney, it was the perfect fit.
With degrees in journalism, marketing, and photography, she was looking for something that combined storytelling, meeting new people, and traveling the country.
And, as she joked, "you need to be a little nuts."
Where Can You See the NUTmobile?
You'll want to keep your eyes open because the crew says they'll be making a few surprise appearances around the Utica and Rome area.
The biggest public stop will be the Oriskany Farmer's Market on Wednesday, July 8, from 2 PM until 7 PM.
You'll find the NUTmobile parked at:
Oriskany Farmer's Market
420 Utica Street
Oriskany, NY 13424
If you've ever wanted a selfie with a giant peanut, this might be your chance.
